Luke Johnson first met Joey Semenza in high school, where they got to know each other by taking the train home from school together. One day, Joey told Luke that he wanted to learn how to play the drums, so they tracked down a cheap drum kit, set it up in Joey’s garage, and began recording right away. Since Joey had no experience on the drums, and Luke was not the greatest at guitar, the early recordings were very primitive. However, once they started improving a bit, they attempted to play some shows in 2023. They first enlisted the help of school friend Ben Miller on guitar, and Avery Rands on the bass. Ben left the band, then another school friend Robert Robelin took his place on the guitar. Dissatisfied with a full band lineup, they decided to disband until they played live again as a duo in 2024. After recording a few more songs (including their single “Deranged”), the project ended up fizzling out as Joey joined Kelpbeds, and Luke switched his focus to other endeavors.

“Leftovers” was a compilation that featured all of the outtakes that didn’t make the original release of the self titled album. Four tracks from Leftovers ended up being on the re-release of the original album.
